San Diego CA ― Forty leading elder law attorneys and key staff from across the nation met at the Marriott Marquis and Marina in San Diego, California from March 10-11, 2017. Through discussions, strategic visioning, and personal goal setting, the attorneys explored professional practice development, employee development, and personal development. Guest speakers included David Kolbe from Kolbe Corp who discussed running a law practice with family members and Barbara McDermott, founder of the SHIFT Formula, who talked about the science of productivity. The group, comprised of attorneys from 17 different states, convened at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. In addition to an intense meeting schedule, the conference included a private tour of the San Diego Zoo and a private dinner at the Zoo after hours. According to Julie Steinbacher, founding partner of Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak, located in Williamsport, PA, the value of meeting with like-minded elder law professionals is undeniable. “The level of commitment of this group to improved practices and professional development is, in essence, a gift not only to us, but to our clients. We each come away with new insight, fresh ideas, and an appreciation for the opportunity we have to serve our clients in helping to prepare them for the second half of life.”
